Hello - I'm trying to find out if this a false positive or not. A close friend gave me this link to check to see if my phone is being hacked but the Malwarebytes browser extension reports this:

Website blocked due to riskware

Website Blocked: www.socinvestigation.com

v2.6.19 | Riskware: 2.0.202401242150

Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this page because it may contain malicious activity.

Is there a way to confirm exactly why Malwarebytes thinks this is a risky site? My browser (without the extension) doesn't seem to think so and it has alerted me of dangerous sites before. Thank you.

I can't say if the detection is valid BUT, That site is basically just a blog/news site.

If you think your phone is hacked, there are other ways to deal with that.

Are you a subscriber to the phone version of Malwarebytes?

Thanks for the reply. I did end up finding the phone codes on another site I do trust and they were the same codes. That was my concern.

I was a subscriber to the phone version of MWB for a short while, but cancelled it as I was not sure it was worth it. It seems to have way too many false positives. I may re-subscribe at some point, not sure yet.
