Congratulations.
 
Use this application to remove tools used and their quarantined items:
 
Please download KpRm by Kernel-panik and save to your Desktop.

  • Click on KpRm.exe to run the tool.

Vista/Windows 7/8/10 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.

  • Put a check mark next to these items:

- Delete tools

- Create Restore Point

- Delete now

  • Click the "Run" button.

  • When the tool has finished, it will create and open a log report and  delete itself.

A few final recommendations:

  • Recommend using a Password Manager for all websites, etc. that require a password. Never use the same password on more than one site.
  • Make sure you're backing up your files
  • Keep all software up to date - PatchMyPC -
  • Keep your Operating System up to date and current at all times -
  • Further tips to help protect your computer data and improve your privacy:

I do want to get your opinion on one thing. On my older computers I’ve been concerned that I either ran some malicious js or html file and have been concerned about it being a RAT that’s had my webcam or something. A couple of months ago (3 months after I might have ran said files) I got a notification saying one of my google accounts had a suspicious sign on blocked. 
 

Im really only concerned about the webcam Incase I did something weird. Am I overthinking this?

If you want, I can take a look at these, as long as they have legit operating system. If you can connect with these computers, we can take them one at a time.

Mark the first computer as 2.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to the desktop in this computer.
 
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Right click FRST(64) and select Run as administrator.
  • Make sure that under Optional Scans, there is a checkmark on Addition.txt.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The tool will also produce another log (Addition.txt ). Please attach this to your reply.

Again, one computer at a time.

I did do a reinstall of windows on my laptop, but I didnt on my old desktop. I dont have access to that until sunday, as im going to be using it there and can do security checkups.

Currently full resetting windows on old PC. It’s through the system, but I did the clean drive option on all of my drives. It says it fully wipes all my drives and resets them.

This is probably enough for my pc to be fine. I will install default deny software afterwards blocking any unknown files from running.

Macrium Reflect. Can't get it directly from the vendor site anymore but you can still get it if you hurry up.

  • Macrium Reflect- Probably the best ( Feb 2023 NO LONGER FREE) version for the average home user.  The product is no longer free but is still an excellent program (Techspot still has a link for it - just enable a content blocker like Malwarebytes Browser Guard before visiting the link )

To ask though, since I reset windows Janurary 2nd and made this post Janurary 14th - would all registry values and files be in the time frame where FRST looks at it?
