Website blocked due to insecure login -v2.6.17 | Heuristics: insecure login

I'm the web designer for a website that uses a login page which collects first and last names for course completion.  The owner of the website hasn't had an SSL on the domain for over 5 years and doesn't see the need to help one since he is not collecting credit card details.  Does this Malwarebytes block indicate only that there is no SSL installed or some other issue?
