CurseForge standalone runs slowly when exploit protection is on

Hey guys,
It seems that CurseForge standalone users - https://www.curseforge.com/download/app have an issue with enabling " exploit protection" in the Malwarebytes app

After users disable this option, the app runs smoothly. Can you help us understand why this happens and what can be done to improve the experience? Or is it necessary to whitelist something on your end?

@Overwolf We need logs showing the detection/block. Also most exploit detection's are caused by users changing default settings despite the warning.

You can find Scan and Protection logs within the Malwarebytes 4 program in the following location

RTP stands for Real-Time Protection and is where automatic protection operations would normally be logged

If you click on the View option you should get something similar to the following with other options available.

It is possible when 4.6.8 gets released it will be corrected.

If not users might have to whitelist it on their end.

It seems that even after whitelisting the application, folder, and the URL endpoint, noting really helps :(
It is better in this version but the app is still laggy and assets still take a long time to load when "exploit protection" is on

I have Malwarebytes Premium, with "Exploit Protection" enabled.  And it bogs Curseforge down to a crawl.  I have to quit Malwarebytes, do my open Curseforge and do my updates, then restart Malwarebytes.  I'm on the latest update as well.  USA Version 4.6.7.301

I have these options enabled.  Even as a protected app.  Still the problem persists.

Hey Malwarebytes team, a lot of people are very frustrated by this.  Curseforge is a widely used app among the gaming community.  We need some guidance on this, not only so we do not have to add it to the protected apps and it can get scanned, but how to fix this issue.

Please try;  http://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline

It will download the full offline installer and update the product to the latest version.

I installed the latest version from the post above, and that seemed to have solved the problem.  I am keeping exploit protection enabled.  I want to keep my PC as locked down as possible.

Tried again this morning and CurseForge loaded quickly and did the updates.   I having been able to reboot since installing the latest version of Malwarebytes, so I will try again after a reboot.

I wonder why I even had to re-install the software and why it didn't auto-update the base engine.
