Small Suggestions for Antivirus - Password Prompts & Copy/Paste logs

Recommended Posts

1. In Settings -> General -> Tamper Protection... Setting a password to change the settings... This prompts to turn off protection, and to turn on protection with a password prompt.

Suggestion - Have the option to prompt for the password only when turning off the protection and quickly enabling protection without a password prompt.

2. When clicking on Notifications (the bell icon) and then clicking on the the event, you are unable to highlight and copy an IP address (or any information) for example. The only way to extract any of this information is to export the event to a .txt file.

Suggestion - Have the option to at minimum highlight and copy the information. This will make it quicker to use this data for other purposes on the fly.

Actually, you also have the option to copy the log to the clipboard to paste it. This is helpful so that when reporting a possible false positive, staff can have the entire log.

You can find Scan and Protection logs within the Malwarebytes 4 program in the following location

RTP stands for Real-Time Protection and is where automatic protection operations would normally be logged

If you click on the View option you should get something similar to the following with other options available.

Yes but I would like to quickly grab only the IP address to either to paste it into firewall block list or to an IP lookup query. Copying the entire log for the event is a little cumbersome.

I get you on the copy of the IP and have submitted that request myself. Hopefully sometime this coming year they'll take that into consideration, thanks.
