MBAM never worked for me

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Since 1.34 or somewhere near, MBAM never worked for me.

It always crashes wheneven I do a scan.

I'm using Windows 7 x32 right now.

Starting from XP to Vista to 7, it never worked.

Is it the problem with the lanugae of my OS? (Korean)

Thanks in advance.

P.S. the image is what always happened when I do a scan.

Greetings and welcome :)

Unfortunately I do not speak Korean, however, if I am translating the lines correctly then it corresponds to The latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has been downloaded. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will now close and install the latest version. which isn't an error, it simply means that a new version has been downloaded so Malwarebytes' closes itself and begins the installation of the new version of the program.

I believe, based on the icon used, that the Windows error message is the one that pops up when a program terminates unexpectedly, which Malwarebytes' technically did since it terminated its own process to install the newer version. It is possible that something about the application itself or the language file is corrupted and needs repair, causing it to render the program incorrectly.

Please follow the instructions for #7 of the FAQ posted here to see if that corrects it, if not then follow prairie dog's instructions so that they can diagnose the cause of the problem. Also, if you have the paid version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware then you can contact support@malwarebytes.org and they will assist you directly with this problem.
