Earthlink-based emails Malwarebytes account deactivation scam

I have several legacy email accounts with servers now controlled by Earthlink.   I have essentially stopped using these accounts because Earthlink's spam controls are so lax -- for every 5 emails I receive, maybe 1 is legit.    Lately I have been receiving emails on the account [removed] indicating that my Malwarebytes account will be deactivated.   I have a MB Premium account on a different Earthlink-based email address, an account which is in good standing and was just renewed.   So I don't feel like my account or my PC is at risk, but it is curious that I have been receiving emails like this.

If I need to take further action, please advise.

Thank you.

It is some entity trying to obtain monetary gain through a referral to the Malwarebytes store; store.malwarebytes.com which is legitimate.

We have been seeing numerous submissions of people getting spam email with FakeAlerts and Renewal notices not by Malwarebytes but in the name of Malwarebytes.
