Blue screen of death !!!

Recommended Posts

Have been using MalwareBytes AntiMalware for some time now, but when I downloaded the latest updates yesterday (11/11) and ran it, it found several problems (for the first time ever). It cleaned the problems, prompted me to reboot and that's when the REAL problems started. Windows booted to a blue screen saying that there was a serious problem with windows.

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78AA524, 0xC0000034,0,0)

Couldn't boot at all, Safe mode included. Ended up re-installing Windows.

I'm afraid, that's the end of MalwareBytes AntiMalware for me.

(WINDOWS XP SP2).

Hi Rigsby and welcome to the forums at Malwarebytes.org

There was unfortunately a False Positive that you experienced as well as other users.

Please see this link:

Sorry that this happened to your system :)

False Positives like this are extremely rare with Malwarebytes, and are usually fixed very quickly.
