Error MB404104 connecting

Privacy version 3.16.0.807

Windows 11 version 22H2

Unable to connect to ANY VPN server from multiple Windows 11 PCs (all latest version and patches).  Receive error MB404104 - issues connecting to registration server.  Switched to wintun after seeing a previous forum post.  This worked on ONE machine for a brief time but did not last.  Seems like this happens when a new Windows update so I suspect an updated Privacy client is needed.

I can provide logs if needed.

Please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your system.

 

Disable-Fast-Startup

Then please restart the computer and do the following.

WARNING: Do Not click the Repair option under Advanced unless requested by a Malwarebytes support agent or authorized helper

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained are safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

• Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
• In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
• Run the MBST Support Tool
• In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
• In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
• A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to the Desktop or on the hidden Public desktop (usually C:\Users\Public\Desktop), please upload that file on your next reply

Logs attached.  I was briefly able to re-establish Privacy connectivity by choosing the wintun protocol but both that and MBtun are now failing consistently.

Have you tried power cycling your router @tomf

If that does not help then please create a support ticket to make sure the licensing is correct

V3.17 was released today and replaces the Wintun tunnel driver with WireGuardNT.

Under the product's Network settings scroll down to the Tunnel driver option and try using WireGuardNT.
