How can I tell if this is a FP or not?

OK - it's just that the links on the MalwareBytes website all say:

  • Report false positives of programs or files here.
  • If a website was blocked by mistake, please report it here.
  • Report false positives of ransomware here.
  • Report false positives of exploits here.

All of which imply that people know that they have a FP. The links should probably say:

  • Report SUSPECTED false positives of programs or files here.
  • If YOU SUSPECT THAT a website was blocked by mistake, please report it here.
  • Report SUSPECTED false positives of ransomware here.
  • Report SUSPECTED false positives of exploits here.

If you are answered that it will be unblocked then it is a FP

Or you will be told it is a legit block then it is not a FP.

Unfortunately, any block could be either.

 

OK thanks for the clarificaiton. I think the labels for those links are therefore misleading.
