Firefox update crashes VPN?

I noticed this serveral times:

At some point Pirvacy seems to crash and the Internet connection is lost.

Removing and reinstalling Privacy helps.

Next time I fire up Firefox following the Privacy reinstallation, Firefox installs an update that had been downloaded in the background previously.

Could it be that Firefox's automatic updates do not play well with the VPN?

However unlikely, I observed that serveral times. The pattern is the same.

I will not share any debug logs from my computer as I did so in the past and it was a hassle.

This is just a potential heads up.

Without logs you have to know that no one will be able to assist you.

Computer issues are often difficult to track down and even providing logs may not be sufficient to quickly resolve the issue, but without logs it's impossible to assist.
