opening emoji picker almost freezes the computer on localhost

I'm working on a web development project that uses React for frontend. After adding an emoji picker component

I experience almost complete freeze of the machine for a couple of minutes with extreme CPU & Memory load by Firefox when the emoji picker is opened in the browser. Turning off Malwarebytes Browser Guard resolves the issue. Other emoji pickers on other sites have not showed similar behaviour.

In Chrome this does not happen, the emoji picker opens normally also with Browser Guard on.

Just to rule things out, Use the following guide to reset Browser Guard.

The reset did resolve the issue. Thank you very much!

It was the database update that helped, to be precise. I did not have to do a factory reset.

I had the same problem with picking emojis in Facebook messenger - my Chrome browser on Windows 10 kept freezing with very high GPU. Coming to this forum, I found the solution at Porthos link posted on 9/25/2023. 

However, I did not see "factory reset" in Malwarebytes Browser Guard under "Support," so I tried "Clear Browser Guard storage" and that seems to have fixed the emoji problem.

The name was changed to Clear Browser Guard storage from Factory reset.
