RandomUserName Posted August 23, 2023 ID:1584503 Share Posted August 23, 2023 While upgrading Microsoft Visual Studio (developer IDE), the installer attempts to update the C++ redistributable (I believe that is correct), but is blocked by MWB. Apparently, this uses Windows PowerShell v1.0 to perform the upgrade, but MWB treats it as a threat and blocks it. I am confident Micosoft is not distributing malware via their library resdistributable updates. How do I resolve this? RandomUserName Posted August 23, 2023 Author ID:1584512 Share Posted August 23, 2023 Because Visual Studio shows no updates available (because everything else did install), I cannot verify this is the solution at this time. However, since it did resolve my issue using winget to install CPU-Z, I expect the next version upgrade will go smoothly. Thanks for the help!
