Is MalwareBytes part of the VirusTotal site scanner?

Recommended Posts

Not for Websites.

Malwarebytes does not scan a site to determine if it is bad. It works on block lists

Yes, for executable files only, the same files it detects during a scan of the computer.

Sorry for intruding.

Is there a reason why MB does not have it's website scanning on VT. It makes reporting malicious websites difficult, as I can not test if it is blocked without going to the malicious website. It also means any website owner without an MB subscription can not investigate if one of their users reports a false positive.

Thank you.

I might be wrong but the other vendors might actually scan the sites and Malwarebytes operates on a block list.

Free Browser Guard can take care of that in 98% of cases. There are some blocks that are exclusive to the BG heuristics as well.
