MBAE detects and blocks 'something' when running sfc /scannow

Recommended Posts

I cannot give any details because this happened to two separate non-tech users who were unable to supply me with televant information.  They are located 60+ miles away from  me.

The process is run from a .bat file and the user is requested to permit it to run with administrator privileges.

The .bat file contains the following two lines: -

sfc /scannow
cmd /k

The system file check runs to 100% completion but MBAE then steps in and interrupts the process.  System file check is prevented from presenting the results of the check.

I gave the affected users this .bat file procedure to simplify doing a system file check.

That is a much as I can tell you.

It hasn't happened to me.  When I do this, I type 'sfc /scannow' into the command window.
