Hello :welcome:

I will guide you along on looking for remaining malware. Lets keep these principles as we go along.

  • Let us please slow down & try not to conflate 2 different "things".
  • Please don't run any other scans, download, install or uninstall any programs while I'm working with you.
  • Only run the tools I guide you to.
  • Do not run online games while case is on-going. Do not do any free-wheeling web-surfing.
  • The removal of malware isn't instantaneous, please be patient.
  • Cracked or or hacked or pirated programs are not only illegal, but also will make a computer a malware victim. Having such programs installed, is the easiest way to get infected. It is the leading cause of ransomware encryptions. It is at times also big source of current trojan infections. Please uninstall them now, if any are here, before we start the cleaning procedure.
  • Please stick with me until I give you the "all clear".
  • If your system is running Discord, please be sure to Exit out of it while this case is on-going.

I would like a report set for review. This is a report only.

Please download MALWAREBYTES MBST Support Tool

Once you start it click Advanced >>> then Gather Logs

Have patience till the run has finished.
Attach the mbst-grab-results.zip from the Desktop to your reply..

Take these actions so that Windows 11 is set to show all hidden files and folders.
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

Select View > Show > Hidden items.

Select ViewShowFile name extensions

Understand, that we will be running different tools & scans & custom fixes over separate "passes". At the same time, understand that I am not on all the time. That I am a volunteer. I am not on at all hours. I will though get back with you. You will post your reply here to this thread, as we go along. Also, try not to hunt the registry on your own, also, do not make changes without checking with me first.

Also, treat the MS Defender message & its issue as a separate item from the TSDDD value. also separate from "email shutdown thing".
Do advise me on your next opportunity, IF this machine is just a normal one-user Home-type machine.
IF it is something that connects to a business network, be sure you let me know.
Be sure you let me know if this machine has some sort of very unique use or configuration.

The MS Defender thing will be the easiest to cure. I expect also to deal with the TSDDD value later.

First tool to run. This next tool ought to take something in the range of 15 - 25 minutes tops, depending on hardware speed.
get & run the Malwarebytes MBAR anti-rootkit tool to do 1 run with it.
Disregard the title subject of the topic.Run the MBAR tool as listed here

https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/198907-requested-resource-is-in-use-error-unable-to-start-malwarebytes

  • when done, I need the MBAR logs.
  • Upon completion of the scan or after the reboot, two files named mbar-log.txt and system-log.txt will be created.
  • Both files can be found in the extracted MBAR folder on your Desktop.
  • Please attach both files in your next reply.

We are about to run a custom-fix script.
There is a restriction on MS Defender antivirus, which will be removed. I expect after this run, that MS Defender antivirus will be fully enabled.
Know that the message shown ( on the screen-grab you sent) carried a warning that was over-stated.
Also, know that it is not uncommon to have a registry entry on HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\SERVICES\TSDDD\DEVICE0
In any event, we will be getting a readout on it.
Also, stay completely out of Regedit while this case is active here!!
We only use known trusted tools to check for actual malicious malware.

By the way, Congrats, the Malwarebytes MBAR tool reports no rootkit threat here.  Plus, your Malwarebytes scan reported no active malware.

Please run the following custom script. Read all of this before you start.

NOTE-1:  This fix will run a scan to check that all Microsoft operating system files are valid and not corrupt and attempt to correct any invalid files.  It will attempt to run some scans with Microsoft Defender antivirus. It will attempt to remove 1 zero-byte DLL file. It will attempt to clear temporary file areas. Depending on the speed of your computer this fix may take 50-55 minutes or more.

Please Close all open work before you actually do begin this run.

FRSTENGLISH,exe program is on   Downloads folder. The tool is already on system. That is what we will use.

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to Downloads

Fixlist.txt <- < - - - -

NOTE. It's important that both files, FRSTENGLISH, and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Right-click with your mouse on  FRSTENGLISH and select "Run as Administraor" and reply Yes and allow it to proceed when prompted. That is important.

next, press the Fix button just once and wait.

You will see a green-color scroll display while FRST is running.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Downloads folder (Fixlog.txt) . Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.

The system will be rebooted after the fix has run. Attach FIXLOG.txt with next reply.

NOTICE: For potential outside readers,  This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause harm.

NEXT

As a next step, I suggest the following:
This is for a scan with ESET Onlinescanner (free). ESET is a well-respected, well-known entity and tool. ESET Onlinescanner checks for viruses, other malware, adwares, & potentially unwanted applications.
This here you can start & once it is under way, you can leave the machine alone & let it run over-night. No need to keep watch once it starts the actual scan run.

Go to https://download.eset.com/com/eset/tools/online_scanner/latest/esetonlinescanner.exe

It will start a download of "esetonlinescanner.exe"

  • Save the file to your system, such as the Downloads folder, or else to the Desktop.
  • Go to the saved file, and double click it to get it started.

  • When presented with the initial ESET options, click on "Computer Scan".
  • Next, when prompted by Windows, allow it to start by clicking Yes
  • When prompted for scan type, Click on CUSTOM scan  and select C drive to be scanned
  • Look at & tick ( select ) the radio selection "Enable ESET to detect and quarantine potentially unwanted applications"
  • and click on Start scan button.

Have patience. The entire process may take an hour or more. There is an initial update download.
There is a progress window display. You may step away from machine &. Let it be. That is, once it is under way, you should leave it running. It will run for several hours.

  • At screen "Detections occurred and resolved" click on blue button "View detected results"
  • On next screen, at lower left, click on blue "Save scan log"
  • View where file is to be saved. Provide a meaningful name for the "File name:"
  • On last screen, set to Off (left) the option for Periodic scanning
  • Click "save and continue"
  • Please attach the report file so I can review

The value of this last run just cannot be over-valued, but rather should be prized.
This run has removed restriction on Microsoft Defender that had "excluded" All possible drives from being monitored or fixed by Defender antivirus. It had set golbal exclusions on drives A to Z.  all drives.

Now that has been corrected. And MS Defender has current definitions from Microsoft. and all of Defenders protections are ON.

On or around 26 July, do you recall downloading a file PlasmaRAT-master.zip ???

By the way the registy entry HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\SERVICES\TSDDD\DEVICE0 is normal. That is not a threat. Again, stay out of Regedit.

Be sure you let the ESET scan complete. I will checkin on you tomorrow. I am calling it a evening now, time to do my personal home stuff.
Keep in mind I am a volunteer here.

Please, for goodness sake, for safety's sake, do NOT go after "cheats" nor any games while this case is open here. I need to make it explicit what I asked before.

  • Please don't run any other scans, download, install or uninstall any programs while I'm working with you.
  • Only run the tools I guide you to.
  • Do not run online games while case is on-going. Do not do any free-wheeling web-surfing.
  • do not download anything, unless it is something I suggested.

The ESET Onlinescanner has found and removed 3 threats.  We still need to do more scanning.

Now a different scan with another security scanner.

You should first Close as many of your open-user app-screens as possible. That is to say, Exit all that you do not need to have open.

This with Kaspersky KVRT tool.

Download Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (KVRT) from here: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/free-virus-removal-tool and save to your Desktop.

Next, Select the Windows Key and R Key together, the "Run" box should open.

user posted image

Drag and Drop KVRT.exe into the Run Box.

user posted image

C:\Users\ldiaz\DESKTOP\KVRT.exe will now show in the run box.

user posted image

add
-dontencrypt

Note the space between KVRT.exe and -dontencrypt

C:\Users\ldiaz\DESKTOP\KVRT.exe -dontencrypt

should now show in the Run box.

That addendum to the run command is very important.

To start the scan select OK in the "Run" box.

The Windows Protected your PC window "may" open, IF SO then select "More Info"

user posted image

A new Window will open, select "Run anyway"

user posted image

A EULA window will open, tick both confirmation boxes then select "Accept"

user posted image

In the new window select "Change Parameters"

  • In the new window ensure the following boxes are ticked:
    • System memory
    • Startup objects
    • Boot sectors
    • System drive
  • Then select "OK" and „Start scan“.

The Kaspersky tool is very thorough so will take a considerable time to complete, please allow it to finish. Also while Kaspersky runs do not use your PC for anything else..

  • completed: If entries are found, there will be options to choose. If "Cure" is offered, leave as it is. For any other options change to "Delete", then select "Continue".
  • Usually, your system needs a reboot to finish the removal process.
  • Logfiles can be found on your systemdrive (usually C: ), similar like this:

Reports are saved here C:\KVRT2020_Data\Reports and look similar to this report_20230812_203000.klr

  • Right click direct onto those reports, select > open with > Notepad.
  • Save the files and attach them with your next reply

First of all, do not pay attention ( or fret) over what it shows on screen. Also, unless I am badly mistaken, this scans the "system drive" which should be C. Let the scan finish. The end result in the report is all that counts ( for judging what exactly it tagedd).
also, it is extremely late in the late evening for me.

PS. I am a volunteer here. And this is the weekend. My next chance to get back to you may be delayed till possibly sometime Sunday, or possibly Monday.

It appears that the Kaspersky KVRT had found & removed some trojan(s).

Create an Autoruns Log:

  • Please download Sysinternals Autoruns from here:   https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
  • Save Autoruns.zip to your computer. Then locate it and extract it to a new folder where you can find and run it.
  • Once it starts you may not be able to easily stop the scan but you can try to press the Escape key on your keyboard.
  • Once scanning is stopped, click on the Options menu at the top of the program and select Scan Options...
  • Then place a check mark on the following items Verify Code Signatures, Check VirusTotal.com, and Submit Unknown Images
  • Then click the Rescan button. Agree to the VirusTotal EULA
  • Once the new scan has been completed, please click on the File button at the top of the program and select Save, or use the Save icon, and save the Autoruns.arn file to your desktop and close Autoruns.
  • Right-click on the Autoruns.arn file (it will typically be the name of your computer) on your desktop or where you save it, and hover your mouse over Send To and select Compressed (zipped) Folder
  • Attach the Autoruns.zip folder (your computer name.zip) you just created to your next reply.

Please run the following custom script. Read all of this before you start.

NOTE-1:  This fix will do some housekeeping, like removing 3 unwanted registry entries.
