Malwarebytes Android no longer free?

Hi, I recently reset my phone and I went to install malwarebytes again, but when opening the app there is no option to use malwarebytes free, it forces me to buy a subscription. Have they removed the option to use malwarebytes free now?

Hi, it says it on the playstore but the only options I have when I open up the app are "get started" and "I already have a subscription". When I click on get started the only thing it lets me do is click on premium or premium plus

Malwarebytes Mobile Security still offers free use.
You need to enable the Trial first. Then if you do not wish to purchase make sure you cancel the Trial within 7 days and it will revert to the free version

I understand, but when I select a plan and click get started it asks me to pay money instead of starting a trial. I've been looking around for 10 minutes trying to find the option to enable the trial but I just can't find it on the new app. Sorry to bother you.

You do need to have a credit card on file with Google Play otherwise it cannot start a Trial

When I click on get started I'm informed that I'll be charged immediately, and there is no mention of a free trial. I wonder if they forgot to add a free trial button into mobile security v5

Please see the following. I'm not sure exactly what you're seeing, but if you were to get charged - you can cancel it.

Same problem here. I cannot access the free version anymore. Did Malwarebytes go paid-only? That's really sad. I loved the app.  I can only use the trial version, apparently. I need to put in my credit card details which I'm not going to do.

Yes, you must enable a Trial, which Google Play Store requires you have a credit card on file.

Cancel the Trial within 7 days and Malwarebytes Mobile Security will return to the Free version.
