Malwarebytes for IOS no longer free in the UK and Ireland?

Hi,

im a bit confused, so I was wondering if someone could clear this up.

Recently, I discovered that the Malwarebytes app that I had was no longer listed in the App Store as I couldn’t access the page from my purchases (I can still re-download it) I’ve currently uninstalled the app on my devices, since I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to keep it right now.

Previously it was free in the UK and Ireland which is how I had it, so I’m wondering if that free period had ended, and it was replaced with the app that everyone else uses?

Sorry for any sort of poor wording, I’m just really confused about this.

I discovered this last night when I was on the Malwarebytes site on my iPad. Usually when a site or service has an app within the AppStore, there will be a drop down banner appears which shows you can get or open the app. For me, the Malwarebytes app said “get” despite having it installed on my device. Did a bit of checking through the AppStore and my purchases and I saw that the app I had was no longer available, just this new (to me) app that was never on the UK AppStore until now.

Malwarebytes for iOS was free for a limited time and now we're excited to announce the new MB5 version which combines both Security and VPN (privacy) into a single application and requires a subscription to unlock the premium features.

I suppose I should keep the old app uninstalled in favour of the current one then?

Also, when did this change take place?
