I ran a suspicious exe file a few days back so i decided to fully reset my pc as a precautionary measure. I also got MB to be on the safe side.

Now I keep getting these messages which is kind of worrying because it seems like I still have a malicious file even though I did a fresh install of google chrome. Also all the domains for these messages are random letter names like this one, nothing specific to a website I have recently visited.

Any idea if I do in fact have a malicious program hiding itself? Could it have hidden itself in windows recovery settings to survive a full reset? Or am I being a little paranoid?

Also whenever I perform a scan the only potentially unwanted programs that show up are usually google chrome related, whether it's from the appdata or the install directory.

Please follow the following guide. If that does not help we can go deeper.

Hello @Oz_99 Do as Porthos has posted before. My name is Maurice.

I would like a report set for review. This is a report only.

Please download MALWAREBYTES MBST Support Tool

Once you start it click Advanced >>> then Gather Logs

Have patience till the run has finished.
Attach the mbst-grab-results.zip from the Desktop to your reply..
