Hello,
I am facing a problem which i cannot resolve. I installed a new hard drive, already formated twice the system but still i get a notification while i run qBittorrent that a Trojan, a Compromised site and a Riskware is blocked. Also some IPS appear.
Below is an image of the detections.
Please, is there something that can be done?
Thanks in advance!

As for why Malwarebytes blocked QBitTorrent , this is because QBitTorrent , and all Bittorrent software, are what are known as Peer-to-Peer (P2P) applications meaning it connects to many different servers/IP addresses (this is how files are downloaded through QBitTorrent ) and because of this, sometimes QBitTorrent will connect to a server that is also known for hosting malicious content.  This is because servers/IP addresses are often shared by multiple sites, so while what you are downloading through QBitTorrent may be perfectly safe, some of the sites hosted on some of the IP addresses that QBitTorrent connects to may be malicious.  Such connections are not a threat however, and you may exclude QBitTorrent from the Web Protection component in Malwarebytes to stop the blocks from happening without compromising your protection (your web browser and other critical web facing programs will still be fully protected from malicious websites and other malicious content).  To do so, add QBitTorrent to your exclusions using the method described under the Exclude an Application that Connects to the Internet section of this support article.

File sharing involves using technology that allows internet users to share files that are housed on their individual computers. Peer-to-peer (P2P) applications, such as those used to share music files, are some of the most common forms of file-sharing technology. However, P2P applications introduce security risks that may put your information or your computer in jeopardy.  Risks of File-Sharing Technology

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

It's very strange to me that after some bad clicks on my behalf on very suspicius links, the notifications started popping

While you are waiting for the next qualified/approved malware removal expert helper to weigh in on your topic, and even though you may have run the following Malwarebytes utility, or its subsets, please carefully follow these instructions:

  1. Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool.
  2. In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file.
  3. In the User Account Control (UAC) pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation.
  4. Run the MBST Support Tool.
  5. In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced.
  6. In the Advanced Options, click only Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your computer.
  7. A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to the Public desktop, please attach that file in your next reply to this topic. Please do NOT copy and paste.

For the short time between when you post the diagnostic logs, and when your helper weighs in, please take no further self-directed remedial actions that will invalidate the diagnostic logs you will have sent.

Thank you.

Sorry, cant say for sure but i reckon the free version cause i had it for a long time and no problem appeared.
I used to download torrents and had no problem till i clicked to some suspicius links and the notifications started popping.
After i formated my PC i still get those notifications with the premium trial version.

Because the free version does not have web protection. When the trial is over it will be deactivated.

You can end the trial now if you wish. Deactivate Premium Trial in Malwarebytes for Windows

If you plan to purchase then you will have to exclude the torrent program.

Maybe i had the premium version before formating my PC. Sorry that i can't say for sure.

WEB PROTECTION is only in the trial or premium. Did you purchase premium at sometime before you formatted?

Sorry for the incovinience but its seems i cant find my mail that was used to retrieve the account thats why i got the trial version now.
Although before and after i formatted my PC i had the web protection on and the same notifications are popping.
Its seems very strange that this kind of problem appeared after a few suspicius links. I also scan the device and no problem is detected only after i run qBittorent the notifications appear.

That happens with ALL torrent programs because of the IP's that they connect to.

Your choice is to turn off the trial or,

Allow an application to connect to the Internet

To prevent Malwarebytes for Windows from blocking an application you trust, add the application executable.

  1. Click Allow an application to connect to the Internet.
  2. To find the application, click Browse.
  3. Select the application executable you want to add, then click Open.
  4. Click Done to confirm your changes.

I answered that already.
