Hey all!

Im really desperate for your advice, a month ago i built a new PC with these parts:

R7 7700x

4070 TI (MSI)

Kingston Fury Renegade 2x16gb 6000mhz cl32

ASUS Prime B650MA Wifi motherboard

 

I did a bios update before installing windows 10, then installed it and put the PC to work. Updated all drivers, etc. And it started to have random freezes. Doesnt matter if its a game, a browser, a word document...

- first the window that im on freezes, the mouse just goes under it, but i can interact with other things, they just dont respond

- secondly everything freezes, but i can still move the mouse, but cant interact

- it can stay like this for multiple minutes, after that sometimes it restarts itself, sometimes only force shutdown helps

 

 

-I ran memory diagnostics and RAM had "hardware issues", i got them replaced, now with the new RAM sticks diagnostics finds no problems.

-I checked if any of the windows files are corrupted or not, found no issues.

-Ran Malwarebytes (i have premium), found no threats.

-I checked all the drivers again.

-In event viewer i found that the different RGB control softwares (MSI and ASUS) were crashing a lot, i uninstalled them (still have L connect and fury control), found the wireless mouse's software (Logitech GHUB) was crashing, so plugged in the mouse, software didnt crash anymore. 

 

-PC still freezes. Sometimes once in 2 days, sometimes 3 times a day.

 

Any idea what i should do? What else i can check out?

UPDATE: 3 crashes in the last 2 hours, before it only happened maximum 2-3 times a day. Now from the 3 crashes there was freezing only for 1. Other 2 was random restart. Circle icon next to mouse appears, fans go high rpm, then after 30 seconds it restarts itself. If i try opening task manager when the fans are going high rpm and the pc slows down it shows high (60-80% cpu usage) then it drops down to 6-7%.

Please disable driver verifier, run the Sysnative tool again and upload the zip file it generates.

Have you by chance noted down when these crashes occur? I see lots of app crashes, depending on when it occurs we might just find the cause there.

Hey @axe0! Now thinking about it they occured in 4 situations. While browsing in Firefox, while playing Destiny 2, while writing in Word, and while in a call on Slack. Most of them happened during browsing, but its hard to tell whats the cause, since i always have multiple things open at the same time with 8-15 firefox tabs in the background. In event viewer before it showed ledkeeper.exe (MSI rgb softwares part) crashing, so i uninstalled it, and Logitech GHUBs autoupdate crashing, so i disabled it, didnt help.

Yesterday i ran a memtest86 in hirensboot, no problems found. I took out RAMs, GPU, CPU, cleaned all sockets with air, reapplied thermal paste, etc then did stresstesting with OCCT and i found no problems. Today i turned it on, and while i was writing this reply for you, it restarted itself again. Only Firefox was running, and Discord in the background.

Could you let me know what PSU you have? I can find the motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, storage devices and external devices (mouse, keyboard, etc.) in your logs, only PSU can't be found in there.

 

Could you also check and disable hardware acceleration in Firefox, as well as any other browser you have? This setting can cause trouble from time to time.

My PSU is an MSI MPG A850G PCIE5.

I turned it off in firefox, thanks. Now im running with another clean install i did after my previous comment, so far it havent crashed, but unfortunately that doesnt mean anything given how random it was before too.
