xevraz Posted June 12, 2023 ID:1571951 Share Posted June 12, 2023 So I got this problem where my mouse stutters for apparently no rational cause (for me at least). Stutters when doing the simplest tasks but not under heavy load. It just lags like I am trying to run crysis 3 on a potato pc, I tried every solution I could find but none of them seemed to work And concluded it is not hardware related. Tried changing mouses, tried plugging them to other ports, this also happens when using the touchpad so I am definitely sure my mouse is not the cause. What is interesting is, it doesn't happen when I am playing games so maybe the integrated graphics driver of the cpu may be the cause but I really don't have any clue Or maybe it is because of a malware, can't be sure Laptop specs: Windows 11 CPU: Intel 12500H GPU: Nvidia RTX 3050Ti RAM: 16gb

xevraz Posted June 13, 2023 Author ID:1572231 Share Posted June 13, 2023 Okay so far it definitely occurs less frequently and less severely but my cursor still lags sometimes. I think updating those apps helped a little bit (before that the lag was the same even after doing previously mentioned solutions) At this point I think it may be a windows 11 problem, it is still new but I have no choice but to use it because my pc drivers only support win
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 13, 2023 Root Admin ID:1572236 Share Posted June 13, 2023 See if you can find or borrow another mouse and see if that makes any difference.
xevraz Posted June 13, 2023 Author ID:1572239 Share Posted June 13, 2023 Tried 2 different mouses, one of them being brand new and the other I used for 5 years with no problem of sort Don't think that is the problem. I will try a wireless mouse like you said earlier but not sure when I can do that
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 13, 2023 Root Admin ID:1572242 Share Posted June 13, 2023 Possibly check your Event Logs for anything related to "mouse" or set the filter to ERROR only and see if you can locate anything related that might cause an issue

xevraz Posted June 14, 2023 Author ID:1572406 Share Posted June 14, 2023 Unfortunately nothing wrong in the event viewer too. I mean it just happens so randomly, during the simplest tasks or even when on desktop or browsing through settings . Think I'll have to live with it and hope it gets fixed with future windows updates

xevraz Posted June 15, 2023 Author ID:1572636 Share Posted June 15, 2023 I think opera was causing the stutter, last time disabled it from startup and worked without opening opera and everything was smooth, even when opera is in use it happens so rarely and just for 1-2 seconds. I think it is the update that helped or collectively some of your solutions but something definitely helped. In the future maybe I can change my browser but the last day it didn't happen even once. If not completely it disappeared %90. Thank you very much for your help I was struggling with this for some time. Wish you all the best
