Insertish Posted June 5, 2023 ID:1570663 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Hi, We've been receiving multiple reports from our users that they can no longer access Revolt because it's being blocked by MalwareBytes for "riskware". I don't have any logs for you but the domain should be enough I assume. From what I can gather the three (sub)domains in the title have been blocked (from users mentioning it in chat, Reddit posts, GitHub issues, etc), there may be more but I don't have any easy way to check. Here is one screenshot forwarded from a user from an issue we received on GitHub: Source: github.com/revoltchat/revolt/issues/
Staff JPopovic Posted June 5, 2023 Staff ID:1570667 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Hello, The domain is legitimately blocked due to malware: https://autumn.revolt.chat/attachments/TopVyfZ398IPN_Dx1eFy5tAtM6JV5-WpeXFQ_9EA3c/Jdk.jar.exe/ Thanks.
Insertish Posted June 5, 2023 Author ID:1570668 Share Posted June 5, 2023 Hi, I've removed the content, the file appears to have come from a user that was previously banned but their user data had not been wiped yet, they were attacking our service at the time so I must have missed this completely. I'll look into setting up more active protection on file uploads and I appreciate why autumn.revolt.chat was blocked, however I don't understand how you can justify blocking the other (sub)domains (practically, the entire service). Thanks.
