Badran Posted May 10 ID:1566732 Share Posted May 10 Hi, I was wondering how the Browser guard detections work in the app, and when they would show up. I'm not sure whether they're supposed to show up immediately or not, as I have clicked on the MB ip test site while browser guard is enabled and it'll block it properly, but it's not added to the RTP statistics. As seen in the image. Apologies if this worded poorly. mbst-grab-results.zip Link to post
Badran Posted May 10 Author ID:1566735 Share Posted May 10 Couldn’t figure out how to screenshot the extension without it closing so here’s a photo I took: Link to post
David H. Lipman Posted May 10 ID:1566773 Share Posted May 10 What Browser version of Browser Guard? Link to post
Badran Posted May 10 Author ID:1566774 Share Posted May 10 (edited) Browser guard is on version 2.5.9 and it’s in Firefox. Firefox is on the latest version. Edited May 10 by Badran Link to post
David H. Lipman Posted May 10 ID:1566776 Share Posted May 10 Xie xie. I moved this to the Firefox Browser Guard sub-Forum. Home ---> Malwarebytes for Home Support ---> Malwarebytes Browser Guard ---> Firefox 2 Link to post
Badran Posted May 11 Author ID:1566801 Share Posted May 11 Thank you. I thought there might’ve been something wrong with my installation or something on my PC was blocking the two. I did reinstall Malwarebytes through the support tool yesterday, so maybe that’s why the log zip is smaller than the previous times I took logs. Link to post
Badran Posted May 11 Author ID:1566936 Share Posted May 11 (edited) I suppose it could be some compatibility issues with Firefox? I was wondering if the logs showed anything wrong, as I was planning on using the computer today. (Not browsing, since I honestly very rarely browse the internet nowadays) The thread can be closed if this is the case Edited May 11 by Badran Link to post
Staff Solution gatortail Posted May 11 Staff Solution ID:1566972 Share Posted May 11 @Badran apologies, a bug has been identified resulting in the issue you are seeing. A new version of Browser Guard was released today, v2.6.2 but the fix in question will be in the following version 2.6.3 that we hope to release late next week. 3 Link to post
Badran Posted Thursday at 05:38 AM Author ID:1570162 Share Posted Thursday at 05:38 AM Is this issue still occurring as of 2.6.3? The stats in the RTP section of the app still hasn’t updated for me. Link to post
