Stranger than strange

Recommended Posts

Hiya, and thank you for all the assistance in advance.

Below is a short list of strange issues on this pc. My initial response was to format and reinstall all, but lets see if we could fix it.

Firstly the pc does a random date change, from time to time, where the date would jump forward or backwards by a month or 2.

Checked ntp sync, and all time related errors in the event log.

Recently upgraded to Office 2007 from 2003. Random freezes in outlook and word. Attaching files, or saving causes a crash in the main executable from time to time. Errors started prior reinstallation.

Dead slow strikes, randomly appears, IE8 is being used with all the latest patches.

Nothing really strange comes to mind when looking at "Process Explorer" when in go slow mode.

BitDefender 2009 was/is protecting the pc.

Had problems executing Malwarebytes,

vbAccelerator SGrid II Control / Run-Time error '0'

Removed Malwarebytes, > Replaced System32\regsvr32, > Reinstalled Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes fixed.

The Malwarebytes scan came back clean, but with the kind of errors my gut tells me its some infestation.

QuadCore, 4GB Ram This should not happen.

Please have a look at the log files.

Malwarebytes, HijackThis & Combofix logs attached.

Thank you

Hello and welcome to Malwarebytes.

I Apologize for the late response.

If you still require assistance, we would like to see the latest state of your system. So, please post a New Hijackthis log. In your reply, I would also like to know any symptoms you may still have and how your computer is running at the moment.

Take a read in this thread on instructions on how to post a Hijackthis log and other further instructions:
