Hello. :welcome:My name is Maurice. I will guide you.

  • First, please Exit out of all opened-screen apps that you have started.

RESTART THE COMPUTER now
Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). If you've, run the tool before you need to place a check mark here each time
  • Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.
  • On your next reply, you should be attaching frst.txt and additions.txt to your post, every time.
  • We will do more later on. I will guide you.
  • NOTE: It would be very much appreciated if you would mention whether this operating system is a Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Also, was Microsoft Defender antivirus the sole / main installed antivirus program ?
  • Whether you had installed Malwarebytes ?
  • NOTE: Please do NOT attempt any Windows "reset" on your own. Await my guidance.

I will review these FRST reports. Do know / be aware that by installing AVAST it does turn off the standard Windows Security / MS Defender that come packaged with Windows 11 / Windows 10. So, now, Avast is "the resident" antivirus.

Question: Have you run a scan with Avast ? If you have not done so, do that now. and let me know the result.

yeah I have known that having a anitvirus will turn off ms defender, but since defender was already not working i installed avast...i did a full scan and found some malware and avast "moved to quarantine" it said...also should i try unistalling avast and see if defender works?

While you await @Maurice Naggar

Please note that if you're using the Premium version of Malwarebytes that it can work alongside Windows Defender without an issue.

Your current logs show that something is wrong with Windows Defender and it's not because you're using Avast.

Your logs also show that you do not have Malwarebytes installed. @shalom1999

The FRST reports show Avast antivirus & Avast Firewall actively running to protect this system. What follows is more in the nature of house-keeping.

Take these actions so that Windows 11 is set to show all hidden files and folders.
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

Select View > Show > Hidden items.

Select ViewShowFile name extensions

  ( 2 )

Please run the following custom script. Read all of this before you start. Please Close all open work.

Farbar program :  is FRST64.exe  The tool is there already on Downloads. We will use it to run a custom-script.

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to Downloads folder

Fixlist.txt < - - -

NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST64, and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system that cannot be undone.

Use File Explorer to go to the Downloads folder

RIGHT-Click on   FRST64 and select

RUN as Administrator

and reply YES to allow it to go forward to start.

That is important so that this run has Elevated Administrator rights !!

NEXT press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Downloads folder (Fixlog.txt) . Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.

NOTE-1:  This fix will run a scan to check that all Microsoft operating system files are valid and not corrupt and attempt to correct any invalid files.  It will reset the Winsock. It will attempt to run some scans with Microsoft Defender antivirus. It will attempt to clear all Cache and history on web browsers. It will attempt to remove some policy restrictions.  Depending on the speed of your computer this fix may take 40-50 minutes or more.

The system will be rebooted after the fix has run. Attach FIXLOG.txt with next reply.  👈
