Maurice Naggar Posted March 25, 2023 ID:1560534 Share Posted March 25, 2023 This first advice is computer housekeeping. There is a installed program Bonjour that you do not need & it should be uninstalled. 1. Press & hold the Windows key on keyboard & then tap the R key to open the Run box-window. 2. Typeappwiz.cpl and tap Enter. The Programs and Features window will appear. Locate on the list "Bonjour". Do a right-click on it. Then choose Uninstall. Let it proceed. Exit Programs and Features, when done. Now do a Windows Restart ( 2 ) Current DNS Servers: 192.168.43.1 Please consider changing your default DNS Server settings. Please choose one provider only DNS is what lets users connect to websites using domain names instead of IP addresses Pick just one of these 4 providers. And be aware that you need to modify 1 time for IPV4 & a 2nd pass for IPv6 Google Public DNS: IPv4 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 IPv6 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844 Cloudflare: IPv4 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 IPv6 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001 OpenDNS: IPv4 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 IPv6 2620:119:35::35 and 2620:119:53::53 DNSWATCH: IPv4 84.200.69.80 and 84.200.70.40 IPv6 2001:1608:10:25::1c04:b12f and 2001:1608:10:25::9249:d69b The Ultimate Guide to Changing Your DNS Serverhttps://www.howtogeek.com/167533/the-ultimate-guide-to-changing-your-dns-server/ Here is a YouTube video on Changing DNS settings if needed ( 3 ) Kaspersky Total Security Version: 21.3.10.391 is installed on this system. It is listed as insdtalled by Windows. Tell me, do you plan on keeping it forever ? Do you plan on buying a license for it ? Just do not go on your own "deleting folders". If you do not plan to keep it, then in that case, this is first step. 1. Press & hold the Windows key on keyboard & then tap the R key to open the Run box-window. 2. Typeappwiz.cpl and tap Enter. The Programs and Features window will appear. Locate on the list "Kaspersky Total Security Version: 21.3.10.391". Do a right-click on it. Then choose Uninstall. Let it proceed. Exit Programs and Features, when done. Then do a Windows Restart.

Maurice Naggar Posted March 26, 2023 ID:1560607 Share Posted March 26, 2023 Sure you may keep Kaspersky. That is entirely your option. The implication then is that Kaspersky is working. Which makes it the main, front-line protection. So therefore if any future issue crops up, you ought to seek help at Kaspersky support. This here is just a inquiry-type report. Temporarily disable Microsoft SmartScreen to download the next software below I would recommend getting a readout report as to update status of some key apps. Download SecurityCheck by glax24 from here and save the tool on the desktop. If Windows's SmartScreen block that with a message-window, then Click on the MORE INFO spot and over-ride that and allow it to proceed. This tool is safe. Smartscreen is overly sensitive. Right-click with your mouse on the Securitycheck.exe and select "Run as administrator" and reply YES to allow to run & go forward Wait for the scan to finish. It will open in a text file named SecurityType.txt. Close the file. Attach it with your next reply. You can find this file in a folder called SecurityCheck, C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt When all done, you may go back to turn ON the EDGE Smartscreen protection.
