PLZ HELP an OLD Man with MBAM install on Samsung Galaxy smartphone!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I hope that I am posting my embarrassment in the right forum...

As a senior citizen luddite (with new tech anxieties) I am in need of some help...

I am looking for some assistance regarding getting MBAM onto my Samsung Galaxy A14 G5 smartphone. For one, I never had a smartphone before (just a dumbphone/flip phone from Consumer Cellular for REALLY old people). For another, I don't know how to install MBAM on another device (Samsung Galaxy).

If someone (a kind soul on this forum) could please spell it out for me in plain English!

I am a 82 year old guy who is a techno clutz, hence any and all help would be much appreciated.

I have had MBAM Premium, always renewed subscription prior to it running out, yet I no longer use the e-mail account when (years ago) I signed-up with MBAM.

I want to avoid the same problem that I am currently having with Norton (problem with username/password). So, I guess this is an account issue/matter. How can I check that I "plug-in" the right info prior to downloading the MBAM app from Google Play Store?

Also...

I am taking various medications which make me drowsy (not to worry I gave up driving cars) thus connecting the dots correctly takes longer! :O(

Thank You in advance for having taken the time to read my post! :o)

Hi @IrishAmerican,

We can absolutely help!  Sounds like you know that you can install from Google PLAY -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware

Go ahead and install from there.  We have a free trial, so you will start with Premium.

The best way to assist with subscriptions is to contact our support staff -> https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

They can help you with you subscription, or setting you up with one.

You figured out how register on the forums, so you're too bad at tech.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Happy to help!

Nathan,

So very kind of you to respond.

I had to censor what I originally wanted to post here (because allegedly my post contained spam...edit it out).

So, whereas I have Norton 360 on my laptop, and no problem signing-in to the Norton website, I do, however, cannot open the Norton 360 app from Google Play Store because of a username/password issue (and once the 30 day free trial period ends I don't care to have to pay for a second subscription which I don't need).

Well, that having been said, I'm trying to avoid the same problem with MBAM.

All I need is the right info to "plug-in" the MBAM app, once I'm ready to download it from Google Play Store & install it on my smartphone).

Hi @IrishAmerican,

The cheapest way is to buy Malwarebytes for Android through Google Play store -> https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/5857053207699

If you already have a license key, you can use this method -> https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039025173-Activate-Premium-features-on-Malwarebytes-for-Android

Let me know if that helps,
