[ RESOLVED ] Unable to interact with Malwarebytes or uninstall it.

Cannot access or delete the MBAMService because there is no folder of it, when I click on shortcuts Explorer.exe says "Cannot access the object referenced by this shortcut. You may not have the required permission", tried to use process hacker to freeze it but after that my system started lagging heavily.

What is you're wanting to achieve?

Is the computer infected and you're having issues or you simply want to uninstall Malwarebytes or something else?

I want to uninstall it because looks same as virus.

Here are the instructions for doing a clean removal and reinstall. Simply ignore the reinstall part and do not reinstall and it will remove all of Malwarebytes.

If any install Windows opens, just close it.

 

 

Can you please do the following?

• Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
• In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
• Run the MBST Support Tool
• In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
• In the Advanced Options, click the CLEAN button and follow the onscreen instructions but DO NOT allow it to reinstall Malwarebytes
• NOTE: Please have patience as it can take a while to remove . Restart the computer when done to complete
