Version update requires user permission

Why does a new version of Browser Guard cause a request for permission in Firefox?  Isn't the original request after first installation sufficient?  Many will not notice the less than significant orange spots on the three parallel bars at the top right hand corner of the Firefox window or be deterred by the permission procedure.

The permission was optional up till now.  It allows Browser Guard and our anti malware product to communicate with one another.  This allows us to provide a better customer experience by allowing the products to work in sync with one another vs being unaware of one another.

I use Avast.  Do I assume correctly that this permission is irrelevant to those who do not use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?

No, it won't update until you allow it.
