Strange menu bar icon behavior after installing latest version (4.18.11)

I installed the latest version today, and since then, the MWB menu bar icon is inverted, as though I had selected the menu (but, as you can see, I haven't.)

Is this a bug? The icon will go back to a normal state if I drop the menu down, but it will revert to the inverted state after a reboot. See attached screenshot.

I am running 10.14.6 Mojave, but this behavior also happens on our other machine with 10.15.7 Catalina.
