Hi. I am new to this forum and apologize if this has been dealt with b4, but i haven't found the answer to this yet.

I have found Vundo on one of my computers and want to make sure that I choose the correct starting point.

I was not able to start malwarebytes as it appeared that vundo killed the .exe for loading the program.

I pulled the .exe from another computer and popped in place and was able to run a scan. The scan did notify me of the vundo infection.

So, my question is, do I use malwarebytes to do the removal or is there another procedure that I should follow because mb has been compromised.

thanks,

-e

Hi Eric,

If you still need help with your issue do the following:

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.

Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt

[*]Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
