Your ex must have access to your google account. I can see everything my son does and everywhere he goes as well because I have access to his account.

You need to change the password and enable 2fa as well. You also need to change the password for what ever mail you have as a secondary email as well.

Has your ex ever had physical access to the phone?

Yes he has. Last time I was at the house & asleep, he had it.

What is 2fa? Sorry, don't know too much about technology lol

Then all bets are off. On top of his access to your google account, he could of installed anything he wants.

If I had this issue, I would factory restore the phone, put a new lock code on the phone that he will never guess and make sure it is locked when you are not using it.

Also after doing the above, change the following settings.

Thank you & I will do that.

If he installed something on my phone would I not be able to find it in mine?

You would not know what to look for and they can be hidden as well.

Doing password resets and all should be done after you wipe the phone.

Hi @angiew,

@Porthos has already provided great advise!  You can also send us an Apps Report and we can double check there are no apps installed that could be tracking you as well.

To send an Apps Report with Malwarebytes for Android use the following instructions.

  1. Open the Malwarebytes for Android app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Your apps.
  4. Tap three lines icon in upper right corner.
  5. Tap Send to support

Choose an email app to send Apps Report.

Your email app will open with the Apps Report included.

At this point, it would be very helpful to mention you are submitting via recommendation from the Malwarebytes forum.  This allows our support staff to know where to direct it.

By sending the Apps Report, you will create a ticket in our support system.

Private Message (PM) me the email used and/or the ticket number assigned.
