Malware Will Not Run and Update

I tried to run Malware and when I clicked update, the program will shut down. When I tried to load the program again, the shortcut will say that it can't find the application. I browsed the folder and it didn't have the mbam.exe it required.

I tried everything I could think of to get rid of this virus/worm/root problem: Avira, Adware, McAfee. Nothing has worked. When I tried to update Avira it was blocked so I tried it the manual method and was blocked again. Adware freezes when I open it up to scan the computer. McAfee hasn't detected any problem and this is after I have updated it.

Hi,

To run malwarebytes when you get the error code 2 during install, or mbam.exe gets deleted, please see here:

Once malwarebytes opens, click the "Update" tab, click "Check for Updates" in order to download the updates.

Then run the scan, let mbam quarantine/delete what it found and reboot afterwards.

After reboot, post the malwarebytes log together with a new HijackThislog.

Hi! Thank you so much for helping me. I was able to run mbam by renaming the file and had to scan the computer twice to clean (hopefully) everything out.
