It is an awful amount of effort. I am a volunteer here. Going back a couple of your posts back ( earlier)....you mentioned that you did manage to get this machine booted up into a "Recovery Environment" Command prompt ??? Please clarify that !!

On a different point, on this machine....does it automatically auto-Login ?? Do you not have to enter a PIN or a password when Windows starts?

so, how did you manage to get to a Command prompt?

Just so you know, I am not on all the time on this forum.

Can you possibly get a picture-image-copy of that "Lock / signin" screen.  I believe you are overlooking a line just underneath that can be useful. NOTE: If that screen has some personal information ( such as your email) then do not post it here, but rather send it to me by personal message.

And again, I hope you are selecting "Safe Mode with Networking" from the advanced boot options.

Study this article at Elevenforum about special startup (s), especially options FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN

 https://www.elevenforum.com/t/boot-to-advanced-startup-winre-in-windows-11.425/

Also, as long as this machine has startup issues....keep in mind to press & keep holding the SHIFT-key on keyboard at the point you choose the Restart and keep holding thru all the start process. This should keep Windows from auto-starting ( auto-loading) some auto-started applications.

Hello. We will get to the issue of Malwarebytes aborting on a later round. The Farbar FRST do not show a malware infection. Which should be exactly the norm after a clean new Windows setup.

By the way, Microsoft Defender antivirus is reported to be Enabled and running. First, take care of this next matter.

Current DNS Servers: 192.168.1.1

Please consider changing your default DNS Server settings. Please choose one provider only

DNS is what lets users connect to websites using domain names instead of IP addresses

Pick just one of these 4 providers. And be aware that you need to modify 1 time for IPV4 & a 2nd pass for IPv6

  • Google Public DNS: IPv4   8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4   IPv6   2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844
  • Cloudflare: IPv4   1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1   IPv6   2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001
  • OpenDNS: IPv4   208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220  IPv6  2620:119:35::35 and 2620:119:53::53

Any irregularities do not make sense.  Was this machine purchased at retail as a new computer?

Did you delete all partitions before starting a clean new setup of Windows ?

A. You should make a request with the Support of the computer-manufacturer to check about just how to get a Factory Restore operation, or how they go about getting Windows O.S. back to first-day-condition. This machine looks to be a ASUS brand. See https://www.asus.com/us/support/       there is a section near bottom "Contact us"

They can be a big help on getting back the Windows Operating system that was sold & licensed with the machine.

B.See if you can get a couple of screen-grabs.

Open an elevated Command-prompt window by these next sequence  .

On the Taskbar Search box, type in

cmd.exe

click the line for "run as administrator"

It is best to use the Windows Copy ( CTRL+ C )  and paste  ( CTRL+V )  for the whole line, as-is
On that Command-prompt,  Copy & Paste this command

slmgr /dlv

press Enter-key on keyboard . Get a screen-grab & attach on next reply.

On the Command-prompt,  Copy & Paste this command

WINVER

press Enter-key on keyboard . Get a screen-grab & attach on next reply.

It appears to me that there is a wee little bit of too much poking about.  Pardon my frank expression. This all is poking about where there is no need for that, at all. This is a normal Windows Operating system.

The MSINFO report is normal stuff. 😃

The other screen grabs are also normal  ( but the poking about on the Command prompt wit the Net command is something not needed / not wanted).

The wording "workstation" is standard. Each Windows computer on its own is a "workstation".  This does not mean or imply anything nefarious.  This is normal. 😀   and yes, "workgroup" is also standard. That is shown because of the inherent ability of each pc to ( if desired) to join a network.  The mention of that phrase does not mean that evil is about.

You are very welcome. I am glad to have worked with you.

We can proceed with cleanup of tools we used.

To remove the FRSTENGLISH tool & its work files, do this. Go to your Downloads folder. Do a RIGHT-click on FRSTENGLISH.exe & select RENAME & then change it to

UNINSTALL.exe

.
Then run that ( double click on it) to begin the cleanup process.

Delete mb-support-1.8.7.918.exe
Delete mbst-grab-results.zip on the Desktop.
Any other download file I had you download, you may delete.
Consider using PatchMyPC, keep all your software up-to-date - https://patchmypc.com/home-updater#download

Keep your system and programs up to date. Several programs release security updates on a regular basis to patch vulnerabilities. Keeping your software patched up prevents attackers from being able to exploit them to drop malware.

I am marking this case for closure.
I wish you all the best. Stay safe.
Sincerely.

Maurice
