Woke up this morning to find a required restart for a MWB update.  Restarted twice.  Now asking for yet another restart.  MWB UI won't launch from right click on task bar menu.  MWB disappeared from main menu.  Something is very, very wrong.  Had no virus protection since midnight, but I have scripts that run all night long skimming certain web sites.  This is unacceptable.  Not being able to use machine before the market opens is costing me money.  Can't seem to get any help from MWB.  Everyone still in bed?  WTF???

Downloaded full installer, installed, then checked for updates, updated, and now appear to be running correctly, having lost an hour of trading time on Monday morning.  Not a happy camper!  Not the type of service I expect from MWB!  Time to switch back to Windows Defender.

If you would have posted in the correct section of the forum in this case you would have had an answer quicker. I have moved your post to the correct section.

If you want to run tools so we can see what possibly happened please let us know.

I'm just a customer and not a regular user of this forum.  I run a business, which takes all my time, and I'm no longer a techie.  I buy a product, I expect it to work.  I apologize that I'm not fluent enough to choose the proper forum.  I couldn't get a response from tech support, and still haven't, which is why I've removed MWB from the approved software list for my companies.    I do thank you for moving it to wherever it belongs.  I managed the fix the problem by downloading the most recent install, which isn't actually current, installing it and then updating it.  Seems to work correctly, although I no longer rely on it.  Put a lot more faith in our firewall and Windows Defender.

The forum here is faster. Email support can take 3-7 days for first response, and has been that way for a couple of years now and only needs to be used in case of license issues for the most part.

If you have fast start enabled, that could have contributed to your issue.

I suggest turning off fast startup in Windows. Then restart.

If you encounter an issue like this in the future you can do a proper clean install.

Use the support tool and do a clean uninstall and reinstall.

Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool.

Please close all browsers and programs before running the tool. Right click and quit MB from the system tray also.

Once done it will attempt to reinstall both Malwarebytes and Privacy VPN.

Please say no and close the X button on the top right for Privacy.
