mbam.exe missing

Hi,

mbam.exe is missing. I uninstalled and re-installed but it is still missing. I am getting some random popups that were not happening before. I suspect I have some malware that is deletiing the .exe file. I have looked at some of the other posts and am reluctant to try combofix or hijackthis without some direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
