Account keeps getting logged out and device changes

Recommended Posts

So basically I purchased a one year single device subscription and every day after turning my computer on I notice real time protection is down and that im no longer signed into my account I use a password manager so I'm almost 99% sure someone isnt in my account. I'm sure of this as well by the fact I can log in just fine and have gotten no alerts about unauthorized logins "other than myself every time I have to relog back in" but once I've logged back in I'm told my account only has a certain number of devices that I can use and that I have to remove the current one even though I only use the one device I think my issue might be similar to an issue another forum user had where someone had generated their key as seen here, I also notice the device added was added before the creation of my account on the 05/22/22 just wondering what I can do.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in the Malwarebytes for Windows Help forum.

If you are having technical issues with our Windows product, please do the following:

Malwarebytes Support Tool - Advanced Options

This feature is designed for the following reasons:

  • For use when you are on the forums and need to provide logs for assistance
  • For use when you don't need or want to create a ticket with Malwarebytes
  • For use when you want to perform local troubleshooting on your own

How to use the Advanced Options:

Spoiler
  1. Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  3. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  4. Navigate to the Advanced tab
  5. The Advanced menu page contains four categories:
    • Gather Logs: Collects troubleshooting information from the computer. As part of this process, Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) is run to perform a complete diagnosis. The information is saved to a file on the Desktop named mbst-grab-results.zip and can be added as an email attachment or uploaded to a forum post to assist with troubleshooting the issue at hand.
    • Clean: Performs an automated uninstallation of all Malwarebytes products installed to the computer and prompts to install the latest version of Malwarebytes for Windows afterwards. The Premium license key is backed up and reinstated. All user configurations and other data are removed. This process requires a reboot.
    •  Repair System: Includes various system-related repairs in case a Windows service is not functioning correctly that Malwarebytes for Windows is dependent on. It is not recommended to use any Repair System options unless instructed by a Malwarebytes Support agent.
    • Anonymously help the community by providing usage and threat statistics: Unchecking this option will prevent Malwarebytes Support Tool from sending anonymous telemetry data on usage of the program.
  6. To provide logs for review click the Gather Logs button
  7. Upon completion, click OK
  8. A file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop
  9. Please attach the file in your next reply.
  10. To uninstall all Malwarebytes Products, click the Clean button.
  11. Click the Yes button to proceed.
  12. Save all your work and click OK when you are ready to reboot.
  13. After the reboot, you will have the option to re-install the latest version of Malwarebytes for Windows.
  14. Select Yes to install Malwarebytes.
  15. Malwarebytes for Windows will open once the installation completes successfully.

No one on this forum can help you with this, as we can not look up anything here for you. This is something that Malwarebytes Staff has to do. You only can make a ticket and wait for a response. Be advised it can take a week before you get answer.

You're not the only one with this problem, for several weeks from many other users. As for me it's all okay at moment, i have many licenses with many users, and no problems until now.

Only make one ticket, if you make more for like speeding up, it only makes your waiting time longer.

Sooner or later it will get sorted out for you. They only work on working day's, remember that.

This is one issue only the support desk can address.

Please contact our support team at https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new to get help Please submit only one ticket/request. Additional tickets will increase the delay.

Be advised it can take 3-7 weekdays for a response after the automated reply with your ticket number.

it is well and good to ask report and submitt a ticket for this issue .. (and looks like many has) .. it has been 6 weeks for me and no one has come up with a solution , and forum is keep closing this topic

but this issue is bigger than some whinge on a forum about a product .. the license codes are getting hijacked and protections are getting turned off randomly ?

shouldn't staffs from this forum be more concern something could be very broken with your main product getting this problem for random customers , random license codes at random times

you will see many customers moving away from your product you just keep wrtiting the same reply (report it to support, nothing a forum can do)

to be honest, this  is very poor support if this issue is not taken seriously and taken weeks without a reply nor solution ...

The Fact is, this is a Anti Malware program which is randomly turning itself off because your company has the licensing system so broken, it cant be fixed for over months

and the fact is this is a forum for this product , that you keep saying becuase you can't help, it should not be discussed on here..

and the fact is, if you are a staff memeber of this company.. you might wish to take this up to your higher management on the seriousness of this problem when your "hero" product is either hacked or broken that is is turning itself off and therefore not offering the protection it should

and the fact is.. it is not a simple licensing issue , if it was support could easily cancel the license code and reissue to customers without waiting for weeks without 1 single solution.

I suggest you or anyone else in your company on this forum take this matter serously instead of just pushing it off as a simple support/licensing issue.

if this problem actaully gets out to a wider soical media.. you might not even be selling this software for long.
