Had to reinstall windows and now need to reinstall all my programs.  I tried to sign-on and it always go to the premium account.  Try to use my lifetime license key...msg - invalid key.  Malware may be good at blocking Malware, but they get a big zero when it comes to customer support.  Takes forever to get a reply, if you get a reply.  And then(!),  The tech may not even be aware that at one time they offered lifetime license.  It may be easier to run my system naked that put up with the frustration of no support from this organization.

Not sure to whom I'm replying to so if it fits, great.

1.  I have both a license key and license ID for my lifetime license

2.  For the premium, I have just a license key

3.  My system would not boot-up.  I had a local company, which I trust, fix my desktop which resulted in a Windows re-install.  So, did I de-activate - NO.  Did not have the opportunity.

4.  Ever wonder why a company would locate their support office in a storm prone area.  If your offices are in calif. and support office in Fl. seems more like a vacation spot for senior mgmt.

5.  I had one "spot" open on my premium account so was able to install/download it.  I still have a lifetime license that I paid for and cannot use...the wonders of modern tech companies.

You can do that in your my.malwarebytes.com account since you were not able to do that within the program due to circumstances.

After you do the the above,

If your license key has this format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and has a license ID with the format XXXXX or XXXXX-XXXXX, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Malwarebytes application.
  2. In the top right corner of the Dashboard, click Activate license.
  3. Click Enter license key.
  4. Below the License Key entry, select My license came with a License ID.
  5. Enter your License ID and License Key.
    Note: The Activate license button becomes clickable when valid license key and ID are entered into the corresponding fields.
  6. Click Activate.

Be sure to have no spaces at the begining or end of the key and include the dashes.
