Disabling scanning on Serial COM ports

Hello,

I'm working with embedded devices that are programmed trough Serial COM ports.

I have port open errors in the programming IDE the I use to program my devices.

I used a monitoring tool to see what is using the ports when I try to communicate with my devices and I saw: \Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe that was opening and closing the port at the same time I was trying to program the device.

Is there a way to stop Malwarebytes from accessing / scanning serial COM ports as to not impede my work?

You would need to right-click and exit out of Malwarebytes while you're doing programming of the port

Thank you for the reply.

I was hopping that there is a solution without exiting Malwarebytes.

When I'm working i can't keep launching and exiting the program every 5 minutes.

After fussing in the program with the real time protections I discovered that the ransomware one was doing the thing with scanning the port, for now i have disabled that.
