I am curious to know why you need to do that?

I don't know @rafikiphoto reason, but I can tell you my reason is for preventing Malwarebytes from running on my pc for a while, until the problems I am getting with it lately, has been resolved.

I see that some are having problems with Malwarebytes shutting down the computer during scans.

I havs disables automatic scan, and Malwarebytes still shuts down my computer.

I am almost certain it's Malwarebytes because I disabled it for three days, running my computer continuously, with no shutdowns.

Once I enabled Malwarebytes, within a few hours, my pc shuts down.

I have disabled it again, and the pc has ran the whole day without shutting down.

Until my computer shuts down with Malwarebytes disabled, Malwarebytes is my prime suspect.

Malwarebytes has worked so well in the past, but recently, its behavior is a bit suspect. I don't know why that is.

Thank you for your support

Further investigation cleared Malwarebytes of the crime. 😁

The culprit was actually an electrical problem, framing your software. 👿

The technicians came and fixed the problem. 😊 So I am pleased to  report, Malwarebytes has been restored to its position, and is on duty, doing its job, and a good job at that. 😄

Thanks again, for your interest.
