BlueChronicle Posted August 24, 2022 ID:1529763 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Greetings, I am posting here to get a confirmation to check if this is false-positive. my Browser Guard detcted a malware on Fandom sites which caught me by surprise, which is 'www.google-analytics.com'. I've run scans on Malwarebytes (4.5.13) and AdwCleaner and both came clean. I'm using Browser Guard version 2.5.2 I would appreciate the fast feedback! Thanks! AdwCleaner[S00].txt Link to post

BlueChronicle Posted August 24, 2022 Author ID:1529767 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Please ignore this post, I haven't noticed I posted on 'Chrome' section. alvarnell Posted August 24, 2022 ID:1529771 Share Posted August 24, 2022 google-analytics is a tracking service used by millions of developers to get statistics about their product's use, so it's not surprising to see it identified by browser guard. I personally have it blocked by my DNS for all Internet access. Not sure why it would be called out as malware, though. Link to post

alvarnell Posted August 24, 2022 ID:1529781 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Little Snitch can do it, but I also use Pi-hole on a Raspberry server as my DNS which automatically blocks trackers and other problem addresses. Link to post
