Malwarebytes Premium 4.5.12 - Not Responding when adding Exclusions

Recommended Posts

So when I go to try an add an exclusion either by File or by Folder, Malwarebytes Premium will end up not responding and then won't close out with Task Manager. System Specs: Windows 11 Pro, 16GB DDR4, I7-8700k Updated to latest updates.

Please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine

What is this for?

Task: {0A20A32E-6167-422C-861A-6C60680D1005} - System32\Tasks\WACInstallUpdates => powershell.exe -WindowStyle Hidden -File "C:\Users\WarTa\AppData\Local\Temp\WACInstall-Updates.ps1" <==== ATTENTION

You may need to use Microsoft Process Monitor to try and track down what is being called. The Event Logs show some issues, but not sure they're the cause.

Sounds good. Thanks for the update @bbrown

Some advice to help keep the system in good shape.

  1. Recommend using a Password Manager for all websites, etc. that require a password. Never use the same password on more than one site.
