These are reported periodically when there is an interruption in the path anywhere from your computer to the server responsible for providing the update.  It should always recover immediately.  If it does not, there is an issue to be dealt with.

Your log is showing a high likelihood of a corrupted database.  Please try the "Check for DB updates" process again and see what the result is.  If you still have the problem, do the Factory Reset available on the Browser Guard Settings page, then check for updates again.  Please let me know your findings.

Hello!

Mine is also acting up. It's the 2nd time this year. Last time it solved itself after checking again the next 2 days. It's nothing corrupted, it's just servers not responding along the route. I have even uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail 1 hour ago. Reset doesn't do anything either. Its update system is one of the worst I have found so far, sometimes it works sometimes it gives an error that it can't update.

I'll keep using it since I didn't find anything better.

There is something going on.  I have just duplicated the error on two different computers using three different browsers on each.

ADDITION:  After speaking with developer, this is a short-term known issue due to resource usage on a server, and vacation for the person who can fix it.  It should be handled in early August.  AT THE SAME TIME, you will get database updates depending on server load.  The program checks every 15-20 minutes, so if it fails this time, it likely will not next time.  There are not voluminous updates each time, so it is an inconvenience at best.

@gonzo

Hello!

Firefox 102.0.1. It's not working on Firefox.

Sadly, I noticed the post name and not the section named - Edge. My bad.

No issues in Edge, I use it as well. It works well there.

Thanks for the information, noted. I didn't know the program check itself, I was doing it myself manually once / day.

Yes, I had at the time tried "Check for DB updates" again & Factory Reset & refresh Browser Guard install.  "Check for DB updates" = An error occured.
After waiting some time and holding my breath.
We were back in business.  "Check for DB updates" = okay.
I thought BG-Log might be helpful.
