Malware.AI.41004525 Flag for HostAppServiceInterface.exe 6-28-2016 20:53

MBAM flagged what I'm guessing is a Windows file as Malware.AI.41004525 today during a scheduled scan.

Path: C:\users\default\appdata\local\host app service\engine\HostAppServiceInterface.exe

I did read the information (linked in the MBAM alert window) provided at


and I briefly scanned the sticky post in this forum by miekiemoes posted October 31, 2018

so I am not too concerned at the moment.  I expect this is a False-Positive.


VirusTotal immediately displayed a negative scan result for apparently the same file logged:

At, Jotti's, only one of their scanners (Dr. Web) flagged the file as

I downloaded WinRAR from Majorgeeks and installed it so I could put the suspect file in RAR format.  The RAR is attached it to this message.

I also attached the associated log file from the MBAM scan to this message.
