Win-Rar

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I wanted to ask you whether it is sfe to downoad Win Rar from the following website: www.rarlab.com

According to Wikipedia, it is the official website for downloading the software. However, I found out that also win-rar.com is also official. The problem is that I downloaded it from the former and I am not quite sure whether I did not download a malware enclosed in it as well. Some security vendors on VirusTotal flagged three bounded files as malicious, however, I do not know whether these are false positives or not. According to my anti-virus software I am currently running on – Eset Premium Security – there is no detection in it.

I would be very grateful if you could help me with that.

Mike
