Found "DNSwalters" once but not again after

Recommended Posts

Dear Person Reading,

I was scanning with the latest ADWcleaner just now and it found a file called "dnswalters.exe" on my computer. I did not quarantine it just yet and clicked cancel and scanned again but this time it did not find it. nor did it find it again on multiple scans I did after. I even fully resetted ADWcleaner and redownloaded it. and again it found nothing.

I have ran a scan with my Malwarebytes Premium and both its protection has never flared up with anything for me and the threat scanner returned with nothing on my computer. I even scanned the location the file was meant to be in with malwarebytes premium and again it found nothing.

Was this a false positive or something akin to that?

I hope I can be helped to understand what is going on, I have attached the logfile where it found it and one after it which is my most recent one just now as of writing.
