Suspicious App data usage

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I found this post on stack exchange today

https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/246229/suspicious-data-usage-by-apps

I have the same phone as OP and the same packages+ some other suspicious packages. Each of them send out 50-750 kb of data and I don't know to whom does it send.

Here is some more details

Why is my factory test app and fingerprint app sending data? Are my fingerprints recorded in external server?

Hi @ThrowawayAcc,

Looking at the package names, they all look clean.  However, if you want to stop the internet traffic you could use a firewall that can block/track apps internet traffic.  I personally use NoRoot Firewall: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.greyshirts.firewall&hl=en  Warning though, NoRoot Firewall is very chatty!  Therefore, you are going to need to allow a lot of things, especially when first using.
