VyperVPN file "GOLDENFROGIPC.DLL" is being reported as a "PUP"

Recommended Posts

I am a long-time user of Golden Frog's VyprVPN and things have been fine until just recently, the file "GOLDENFROGIPC.DLL" is now being reported as a "Potentially Unwanted Program".

Unfortunately, there is no reasoning given other than it being classified as "PUP (Other)" so I don't understand why.

I have submitted a support request to Golden Frog with a link to your PUP page.

Has anyone else experienced this?

For the time being, I am assuming this is a false positive unless someone who knows better tells me otherwise.

I am disappointed with Golden Frog's response as it was a boilerplate "adjust your Windows Defender blah blah blah" response saying that it's a false positive.

Ok, I get it. It's a false positive. But can the people at least READ the e-mail I sent before firing off "answer 7" from Serviceware's  console?

Sigh. . . .
