Feature request regarding compatibility and performance

Recommended Posts

Since Malwarebytes allows not to register the AV in the Windows Security Center it can work alongside other AV's

With this in mind it will be interesting to be able to have this settings in the interface

Choose types of files to scan (one option or the other)

  • Scan recommended extensions: specify if File Shield should scan all files or only those recommended by Avast
  • Scan all files: specify if File Shield should scan all files or only those recommended by Avast

Real time modes (multiselection selection Box)

  • Scan programs when executing: specify whether you want File Shield to scan programs, scripts, or libraries each time they are run
  • Scan files when opening: specify which file types you want File Shield to scan each time the files are opened
  • Scan file when writing: specify the file types you want File Shield to scan while the files are being created or modified

I know it will compromise security but since you can have another full AV workin MBAM can become a lightweight companion. Of course default settings should be like they are now but having this options availble for users open more use cases and business oportunities.

Thank you for your feedback. I'd seriously doubt we would make such a change but will submit your request to the team.

Well other AVs have this available, and is not a change on the default behaviour it should be optional and hidden under advanced settings and it opens oportunities to configure and use MBAM in other ways.
